Risk Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our global team remotely. The role focuses on identifying, assessing and mitigating operational, financial, regulatory and reputational risks that could affect our performance.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively monitor platform data to detect emerging risks such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python or other analytics tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify abusive behavior.
• Design and implement rules, models and workflows that detect and prevent fraudulent or high‑risk activity while preserving user experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance and Legal to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes or other risk events, making rapid decisions to contain losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and work with engineers to improve detection capabilities.
• Assist in evaluating third‑party risk intelligence vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety analytics or financial crime investigations, preferably in tech, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn raw, messy data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AML, KYC, GDPR or PSD2 compliance frameworks.
