Operations Manager – Production, Maintenance & Launch

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the Production, Maintenance and Launch functions at Lear’s new Thermal Comfort Systems plant in Bizerte, Tunisia. Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for integrating these areas to achieve operational excellence and support the introduction of new vehicle comfort technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production, maintenance and product launch activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
• Drive new‑product introductions using APQP and PPAP methodologies.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen tools.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as OEE, throughput, first‑pass yield and equipment uptime.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, control expenditures and allocate resources efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and health & safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to resolve production challenges.
• Represent Lear with customers, suppliers and external partners.

Required profile

• University degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in production, maintenance or launch management within an automotive or industrial environment.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of building high‑performing cross‑functional teams.
• Strong financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
