Backend Developer (Node.js & AWS)

About the role

DNEXT is looking for a Backend Developer to build and maintain server‑side services for its agricultural market intelligence platform. The role is based in Sousse, Tunisia and focuses on Node.js development and AWS cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Leverage AWS services (Lambda, EventBridge, RDS Aurora, IAM, S3) to create scalable and secure infrastructure.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and other team members to define objectives and deliver cohesive code.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work within an agile, weekly‑sprint environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, RDS Aurora, IAM and S3.
• Familiarity with SQL database management.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
