Operations Officer – Visa Application Processing

About the role

The Operations Officer will support the visa application centre in Tunis, ensuring efficient processing of visa requests, delivering high‑quality customer service and maintaining strict compliance with operational and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Scrutinise and collect visa application documents, record data accurately and ensure timely entry into the processing system.
• Meet the prescribed Turn‑Around‑Time for each application and monitor progress throughout the workflow.
• Handle applicant enquiries in‑person, by email and telephone, promote value‑added services and gather feedback on the centre’s performance.
• Process cash and bank transactions in line with established procedures and manage passport delivery logistics to consulates, applicants and logistics partners.
• Apply and uphold standard operating procedures, support the Deputy/Operations Manager on World Bank projects and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety policies.
• Follow the Anti‑Bribery Management System (ABMS) guidelines and uphold ethical standards in all business activities.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Excellent communication skills for face‑to‑face and remote applicant interaction.
• Ability to manage cash, banking operations and logistical coordination.
• Understanding of compliance, SOPs and anti‑bribery policies.
• Commitment to sustainability and EHS practices.
