General Manager – Hotel Operations in Tunisia

About the role

Iberostar is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of its beachfront hotels in Tunisia. The role is responsible for delivering financial results, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences while upholding the brand’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and adjust the hotel budget, forecast income and expenses, and control costs to ensure profitability.
• Analyse financial reports and KPIs, identifying opportunities to increase revenue or reduce expenses.
• Lead and motivate all hotel departments, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
• Oversee maintenance, refurbishments and operational incidents, applying creative problem‑solving.
• Ensure staff training, development and empowerment across all levels.
• Interact with guests to resolve concerns, enhance reputation and build loyalty.
• Handle extraordinary situations, union complaints, health and safety matters, and inspections from authorities.
• Implement corporate policies, regulatory compliance and sustainable practices aligned with CSR strategy.
• Report key performance data to Operations and Senior Management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a full‑service hotel or resort, preferably in a senior leadership role.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of meeting budgetary and profitability targets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive staff engagement, training and performance improvement.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of guest service and brand consistency.
