Community Builder

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Community Builder to shape and grow Moneco’s community across Africa. You will be the voice of the brand on social platforms, organise local groups and events, and create viral campaigns that drive user engagement and acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments and reviews daily on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, App Store, Google Play and Trustpilot.
• Engage in third‑party conversations about fintech in Africa, manage brand mentions and turn negative moments into opportunities.
• Build and maintain community infrastructure such as WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels and in‑person events.
• Design and launch growth loops, referral programmes, ambassador initiatives and viral challenges tailored to African markets.
• Recruit, brief and coordinate creators in key countries (Benin, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, Togo, Morocco, Tunisia, Madagascar).
• Own the social media content calendar, spot trends and produce short‑form video or basic motion‑graphics content when needed.
• Track engagement, sentiment and growth metrics and report weekly insights to the product and growth teams.

Required profile

• 2–4+ years of experience in community management, social media or brand engagement, preferably in a consumer app, fintech or related sector.
• Strong written communication with a fast, personable tone.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate directly with co‑founders and the Head of Growth.
