Business Operations Manager

About the role

Storm Ideas is looking for a Business Operations Manager to work directly with the Head of Operations. You will have full autonomy to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions and implement them across the business, all while operating in a fully remote, contractor setting.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Head of Ops to drive initiatives without bureaucratic layers.
• Identify, design and implement automations, processes and cost‑saving measures.
• Own people‑operations tasks such as contracts, onboarding and policy management.
• Handle finance‑operations duties including invoicing, expense tracking and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Manage SaaS, AI and cloud billing, negotiate contracts and eliminate wasteful spend.

Required profile

• High‑agency doer who moves projects forward quickly.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and delivering rough solutions that can be iterated.
• Strong initiative, numeracy and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to read contracts and understand basic legal language.
