Business Operations Associate

About the role

Storm Ideas is looking for a Business Operations Associate to work directly with the Head of Operations. You will help streamline people, finance, tooling and process across the company, removing bureaucracy and delivering lasting improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify operational bottlenecks, propose solutions and implement automations.
• Support people‑operations tasks such as contracts, onboarding and policy maintenance.
• Assist finance‑operations by handling invoicing, expenses, payroll inputs and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Manage SaaS, AI and cloud billing, negotiate spend and eliminate waste.
• Build and maintain internal tools and workflows that become the standard way of working.

Required profile

• High‑agency self‑starter who thrives in ambiguous environments.
• Comfortable taking ownership of problems and delivering practical solutions.
• Numerate and willing to dig into financial data without formal finance training.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
