Wholesale Banking Analyst

About the role

BANK ABC is recruiting a Wholesale Banking Analyst in Tunis to strengthen its Wholesale Banking department. The analyst acts as a middle office that supports and controls the extension and maintenance of credit, providing administrative and functional support to Coverage Groups, Credit, Risk and Operations, and monitoring lending activities. The role bridges the Front Office (Business Units) and the Back Office (Operations).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an efficient Wholesale Banking middle office discipline covering all lending activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date risk-based approach for KYC/AML certification of wholesale banking relationships.
• Ensure a smooth client on-boarding and account opening process.
• Act as a referral point for the front and back offices to arbitrate issues arising from lending activities.
• Promote best practices and robust controls to raise awareness and accountability among coverage teams and reduce operational gaps.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through task automation and enhancements to the bank's IT systems.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance from a reputable university, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a wholesale bank, a consulting or audit firm, or another financial services institution.
• Relevant experience in credits, trade finance, treasury, front office and operations.
• Good financial assessment skills, business planning capability and ability to challenge figures.
