About the role

Hirez Manpower Solutions Inc. is seeking experienced line cooks to join hospitality partners across Canada. The role involves preparing, cooking, and plating menu items in a fast‑paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes.
• Handle bar food, snacks, appetizers, and casual‑dining items.
• Assist with daily kitchen prep tasks and maintain consistent taste, presentation, and portion control.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock management.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams during peak hours.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook, cook, or kitchen associate in a professional kitchen.
• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with multiple cuisines is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Food safety and hygiene standards knowledge.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, etc.).
• Basic inventory and stock management.
