Test Engineer

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and execute testing strategies for new automotive hardware and software solutions. You will work closely with R&D, validation teams and production to ensure product functionality, compliance with regulations and internal specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements, legal regulations and internal specifications to define testing strategies.
• Develop EOLT specifications for new equipment (hardware & software).
• Design and implement complex test programs, processes and systems for electrical and programming domains.
• Review software and test methodology coverage during DFT design reviews.
• Collaborate with the Software Validation Team to guarantee complete test coverage.
• Validate standards (PG RAISE, CdC) and any changes proposed by sites.
• Support transition of new processes to series production, including equipment qualification.
• Participate in FMEA activities and continuous improvement of test equipment.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in electronics, electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive or industrial testing environments.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and propose corrective actions.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and support production launch.
