Student Success Coach

About the role

Grand Haven Area Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Success Coach to join the Duneside Discovery nature‑based learning team. The coach will provide specialized support to early childhood students, using behavior‑intervention techniques, data‑driven strategies, and positive reinforcement to create a safe and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized positive behavior support plans for each student.
• Monitor student behavior, attendance, and intervention effectiveness using data.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources.
• Apply Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and PBIS best practices.
• Maintain compliance with school discipline laws and student due‑process procedures.

Required profile

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Elementary K‑5 endorsement.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or early elementary settings.
• Experience implementing MTSS and knowledge of PBIS, school discipline laws, and student due‑process.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.
• Proven ability to use data to track and improve student outcomes.
