Remote Accountant (Tunisia)

About the role

Premier NX is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team on a fully remote basis from Tunisia. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with Tunisian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records and process financial transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, P&L reports and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with Tunisian accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Support tax filings, VAT declarations and audit preparations.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a remote environment.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Tunisian tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities remotely.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or Odoo.
