Pricing Science Lead / Pricing Data Scientist

About the role

Syntaxia is looking for a Pricing Science Lead to own the end-to-end delivery of data-driven pricing optimization solutions. The role leads workstreams across customer engagements, from initial data exploration through implementation, launch and post-launch support, working closely with Pricing Science Advisors and other technical specialists. It suits someone who can work independently, explain technical concepts clearly and turn analysis into measurable business outcomes. The position is remote, with regional preference for North America, Latin America, Europe and the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pricing science workstreams across customer projects, from data exploration through go-live and hypercare.
• Take part in customer workshops with Advisors and Solution Architects, turning workshop outcomes into analytical and configuration tasks.
• Design, configure and validate solutions such as list-price optimization, negotiation guidance, price guidance and bring-your-own-science models.
• Explore data, understand distributions and outliers, and prepare data for segmentation and model design.
• Define segmentation rules, features, model structures, business rules and objective functions.
• Assess historical performance, identify pricing opportunities and prepare dashboards and materials for customer sessions.
• Refine solutions based on customer feedback, then document assumptions and handover materials.
• Support pre-sales activities such as prototypes, demos and proof-of-concept materials, and share project learnings internally.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, economics); equivalent practical experience also considered.
• At least four years of hands-on experience in data analytics, data science, applied statistics or a related field, including end-to-end analytical solutions.
• At least two years in B2B pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics or a closely related area.
• Fluent written and spoken English; able to explain complex findings to business audiences and run workshops.

Required skills

• Strong practical experience with Python or a comparable language and solid SQL.
• Knowledge of regression, classification, segmentation and constrained optimization.
• Experience implementing pricing or optimization solutions on a commercial pricing platform or SaaS environment.
• Nice to have: experience with Solution Architects, Configuration Engineers and Business Analysts, startup or consulting delivery, enterprise SaaS familiarity, and a portfolio of pricing or commercial analytics work.
