Network Support Engineer (Dispatch) - Sfax

About the role

Brilliant Computers is looking for a Network Support Engineer to provide support for its network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance and availability of network services. The role involves troubleshooting network issues, maintaining network equipment and supporting day-to-day network operations. It is offered as a freelance position based in Sfax.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level support for network incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot issues related to IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and network routing.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance and respond to alerts or outages.
• Maintain ticket updates and documentation for all reported incidents.
• Work with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Assist with network maintenance, upgrades and implementation projects.
• Ensure timely communication on issue status and resolution.

Required profile

• 2 to 5 years of experience in network support or a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are an advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• Experience with Cisco or similar networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of Windows server environments and Active Directory is an advantage.
• Technical prerequisites: a laptop running a Microsoft OS (minimum Windows 11), console cable, terminal emulator (e.g. PuTTY, TeraTerm, Poderosa), serial port, Teams or Webex for customer NOC connections, engineering tool kit, and OEM-specific training and certification for the products used.
