About the role
The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Tunisia is seeking a motivated intern to support its mission of promoting and protecting human rights for all. The internship runs from 1 September to 31 December 2026 and offers the opportunity to work closely with Human Rights Officers on a variety of programmes and activities.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, compile and analyse basic information, documents and reports related to OHCHR work.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for the Universal Periodic Review, treaty bodies and special procedures.
- Support technical cooperation activities carried out by Human Rights Officers.
- Help organise meetings, seminars and official missions.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or the final year of a bachelor’s degree (minimum).
- Academic background in international relations, international human rights law, political science or related fields.
- Fluency in Arabic and French; knowledge of English is desirable.
