Hostess - Restaurant

About the role

Ben Rahim, a restaurant company originally based in Berlin, Germany, is looking for a full-time, on-site Hostess in Tunis. The role welcomes guests, manages reservations, coordinates seating and keeps the flow of guests smooth during service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage reservations, seating plans and waitlists
• Coordinate seating and ensure smooth guest flow throughout service
• Answer guest inquiries and provide menu and venue information
• Support the serving team during busy periods
• Prepare the host area and keep the entrance clean and organized
• Communicate clearly with kitchen and floor staff to optimize service

Required profile

• Professional demeanor, punctuality and the ability to stay calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment
• Previous hospitality, restaurant or customer-facing experience is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training may be provided
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Organizational and time-management skills for reservations and seating
• Clear verbal and basic written communication, with proficiency in relevant local languages; English, French or German is an advantage
• Teamwork with kitchen and service staff, following procedures and health and safety guidelines
