Data Engineer – Azure Integration

About the role

The Data Engineering team at Mantu is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build and operate data flows between Mantu and its SaaS partners. You will own end‑to‑end pipelines, ensure data quality, and support reporting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data flows using REST APIs, SFTP and file exchanges (CSV, JSON, XML).
• Develop reusable, parameterized pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse (PySpark notebooks).
• Monitor pipelines, resolve incidents, and communicate status to business teams and partners.
• Support reporting teams on data quality and availability.
• Deploy changes via Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD) and document all flows.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in data integration or data engineering on Azure.
• Strong background in integration projects and ability to work autonomously.
• Team player who shares knowledge and raises issues early.

Required skills

• Azure Data Factory (pipelines, mapping dataflows, triggers, parameters).
• Azure Synapse pipelines and PySpark notebooks.
• REST APIs (OAuth2, pagination, error handling).
• SFTP and file exchange formats (CSV, JSON, XML).
• Incremental loading techniques (watermarks, change detection).
• SQL, Azure DevOps (Git, CI/CD).
• Data lake formats (Parquet, Delta).
• Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Azure Key Vault, managed identities.
• Experience with iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi.
• Integration experience with HR, payroll or finance SaaS tools.
