Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Lear is launching its second plant in Bizerte, Tunisia, within the Thermal Comfort Systems division. The Customer Quality Engineer will act as the customer’s representative on site, ensuring that Lear’s quality policy aligns with customer expectations, IATF standards, and group requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary communication link between the customer and the plant.
• Manage action plans for customer quality concerns and track related KPIs.
• Support and participate in P‑FMEA activities.
• Handle customer claims and prepare 8D reports.
• Lead problem‑solving meetings and cooperate with APQP engineers.
• Track PPAP status in serial production and provide release evidence.
• Participate actively in product and process change management.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• More than 3 years of automotive industry experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in a Customer Quality position.
• Familiarity with P‑FMEA, PPAP, and 8D methodologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 19011.
• Good command of French and English.
