Country Coordinator Consultant (Type A)

About the role

The Country Coordinator Consultant (Type A) will support an innovative cross‑border partnership aimed at strengthening child protection systems for migrant children along the Central Mediterranean Route. Working under the IOM Programme Manager and in close coordination with UNICEF and regional focal points, the consultant will ensure seamless communication, documentation, and reporting across country teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the secretariat for the Country Team: maintain staff directories, schedule meetings, draft agendas and minutes.
• Manage the joint IOM‑SC‑UNICEF SharePoint site, ensuring all documents and communications are properly stored and accessible.
• Facilitate timely communication with partners at country, regional, and global levels, escalating unresolved issues to global focal points.
• Conduct desk reviews and co‑author the Central Mediterranean Joint Report, mapping best practices, gaps, and needs.
• Assist in the design, revision, publication, and dissemination of the report.
• Co‑organise a Regional Convening with other Country Coordinators to develop inclusive, child‑sensitive SOPs, tools, and referral pathways for cross‑border case management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating multi‑stakeholder humanitarian projects, preferably in child protection or migration contexts.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to manage complex information flows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
