About the role
The Receptionist with Security duties provides secretarial, clerical and administrative support to the Resident Office staff while serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers. The role ensures smooth office operations, maintains a safe environment, and supports basic security protocols.
Key responsibilities
- Screen incoming telephone calls, forward to appropriate personnel, and take messages.
- Greet and receive visitors, verify identity, issue guest passes, maintain a visitor log, and escort as needed.
- Monitor entry points using CCTV and alarm systems, report suspicious activity, and enforce access‑control procedures.
- Prepare meeting rooms with presentation equipment, arrange refreshments, and compile visitor statistics.
- Assist with emergency response actions such as fire alarms or medical situations.
- Coordinate with the Admin team and Security focal point, handle couriers, sort and process mail, and ensure compliance with administrative and security procedures.
Required profile
- Professional and courteous communication with callers and visitors.
- Ability to follow established safety and security procedures.
- Attention to detail for visitor logging and incident reporting.
- Flexibility to support both reception and basic security tasks.
