About the role
The Communications & Grants Specialist supports the Pathways to Protection (P2P) consortium, a multi‑country humanitarian programme operating across ten Mediterranean migration routes. Working within the Consortium Management Unit, the role implements the communication strategy, creates content for internal and external audiences, and provides ad‑hoc assistance on grants‑related tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, develop and execute external communication and visibility activities in line with the P2P Communication Strategy.
- Collect, draft and finalise content for the DRC website and social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook).
- Conduct field visits and trainings with partners to gather photos, human‑interest stories and other material for digital platforms.
- Produce and review a range of communication products, including factsheets, policy briefs, donor reports, brochures and presentations.
- Ensure alignment of communication outputs with the consortium’s advocacy strategy and donor visibility guidelines.
- Review partner‑generated materials, provide feedback and coordinate validation before publication.
- Facilitate coordination among CMU staff and partners, organising quarterly editorial planning meetings.
- Support grant‑related tasks in collaboration with the PDQ and Partnership Coordinators.
Required profile
- Proven experience in external communications within an international or humanitarian context.
- Strong ability to produce clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Experience working with multiple partners and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with grant administration and reporting processes.
