Buyer – Purchasing & Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Buyer is responsible for managing the full procurement cycle for aerospace‑related materials and services, from requirement identification to delivery. The role ensures an optimal balance of cost, quality, delivery performance and supplier reliability while complying with company procedures and aerospace regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse purchasing requirements and issue purchase requisitions.
• Identify, qualify and select appropriate suppliers; conduct market research and benchmarking.
• Launch RFIs/RFQs, evaluate commercial and technical quotations, and lead negotiations on price, payment terms, lead times, MOQ, Incoterms and other conditions.
• Create and manage purchase orders, monitor order status and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Handle late deliveries, urgent requirements and supply‑risk situations, implementing recovery actions as needed.
• Develop new sources of supply and continuously evaluate supplier performance against KPIs such as OTD, quality and cost savings.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Logistics and Maintenance to align procurement with operational needs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and supplier information in the ERP system and ensure traceability of records.
• Participate in supplier audits to verify compliance with aerospace standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in industrial purchasing, preferably in aerospace or another highly regulated sector.
• Professional proficiency in English and fluent French for international supplier communication.
