About the role

Hydatis, a French-Tunisian IT services company delivering outsourcing, custom software, AI & data and cybersecurity projects for clients in France, Europe and Africa, is looking for a Backend Developer to design and build robust, scalable services around its clients' Java ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Java (Spring / Spring Boot)
Design database schemas and optimise queries (relational and/or NoSQL)
Contribute to microservices architecture and system design decisions
Write efficient, well-tested, maintainable code following best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Required profile

Solid experience with Java and the Spring / Spring Boot ecosystem
Good understanding of API design, SQL and unit testing (JUnit)
Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
Comfortable using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) as part of the daily workflow, which is required for this role
Knowledge of microservices architecture is a plus
