Associate Manager – Indirect Procurement (Africa)

About the role

BIC is seeking an Associate Manager for Indirect Procurement to support its Africa operations. You will help shape procurement strategies for CAPEX, facilities management and MRO categories, driving cost savings while ensuring supply continuity and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned indirect categories.
• Track forecasted performance versus actual savings and report results.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks, monitoring market trends.
• Collaborate with finance to embed savings into budgets and the annual operating plan.
• Participate in supplier selection, negotiation and ongoing supplier performance management.
• Support sustainability targets and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as spend under control, cost avoidance, on‑time delivery and supplier risk.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of indirect procurement categories (CAPEX, FM, MRO).
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams, including finance and sustainability.
• Proven track record of delivering cost improvements and managing supplier relationships.
