WordPress Developer – Web & IT Support

About the role

E Technologies is seeking a WordPress Developer to join its international team in Tunis. The role combines hands‑on WordPress development with day‑to‑day IT support for the company’s media and content‑driven projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update WordPress websites across multiple projects.
• Build and customise themes, templates and plugins to meet functional requirements.
• Ensure sites are secure, responsive, SEO‑optimised and high‑performing.
• Collaborate with designers to implement pixel‑perfect front‑end experiences.
• Manage CMS features such as custom post types, taxonomies and shortcodes.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Handle site migrations, hosting configurations, database management and performance optimisation.
• Provide IT support to internal teams: hardware, software, OS (Windows/macOS), workstation setup, printers, network and VPN issues.
• Maintain IT assets and assist with software installation and user access.
• Collaborate with global teams using Git and project‑tracking tools.

Required profile

• Legal authorisation to work in Tunisia.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Proven experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• WordPress architecture, Multisite and multilingual setups (preferred).
• PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL.
• cPanel, domain/DNS management and hosting environments.
• SEO best practices and page‑speed optimisation.
• WordPress security and hardening techniques.
• Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Windows and macOS troubleshooting, LAN, Wi‑Fi and VPN support.
• Familiarity with WooCommerce (preferred).
