AI Product Chief Architect

About the role

We are seeking a senior AI Product Chief Architect to lead the technical architecture of our K-12 Student Information System. This fully remote position blends deep legacy system expertise with AI‑first development, allowing you to direct coding agents to modernize a complex platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end architecture of the SIS platform, spanning legacy VB6/COM/T‑SQL and modern C# layers.
• Design system boundaries, data contracts, and evolution strategies from legacy to .NET.
• Direct AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code) to implement architectural decisions.
• Define and enforce architectural guardrails, coding conventions, and integration patterns for AI agents.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness and behavioral equivalence with legacy logic.
• Participate in requirements and specification reviews, providing architectural sign‑off.
• Drive continuous improvement of agent workflows, prompts, and guardrails.
• Lead technical deep dives, root‑cause analyses, and resolve production outages.

Required profile

• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET (including .NET Core/8 and ASP.NET Web API).
• Extensive hands‑on experience with T‑SQL and complex stored procedures.
• Proven ability to navigate large legacy codebases (VB6, VB.NET, COM, Classic ASP).
• Already working AI‑first, using coding agents as primary development tools.
