SRE and Maintenance Manager

About the role

AkzoNobel is seeking an experienced SRE and Maintenance Manager to lead the reliability and upkeep of plant equipment at one of its manufacturing sites. The role ensures high availability, safety and compliance with company standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and schedule the maintenance team, allocating resources to priority interventions.
• Oversee execution of corrective and preventive maintenance, including contractor work.
• Drive the maintenance planning program and keep preventive/corrective schedules on track.
• Conduct incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS (GMAO) and report performance KPIs.
• Identify capital investment needs and support site investment planning.
• Participate in plant projects, risk assessments and commissioning activities.
• Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process and enforce Permit‑to‑Work procedures.
• Perform equipment audits, safety inspections and support crisis management readiness.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (BSc or MSc) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or related field.
• Proven experience leading maintenance teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE standards, LSRs, BBS and site safety procedures.

• Proficiency with CMMS (GMAO) systems.
