Senior Software Engineer (Hybrid, Tunis)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong backend expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise solutions for our European clients. You will work in a hybrid setting from our Tunis office, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design, implement, and evolve REST APIs and event‑driven services.
• Integrate with frontend teams (React/Angular) on API design.
• Implement messaging solutions with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, architecture discussions, code reviews, and documentation.
• Promote best practices for code quality, performance, and maintainability.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on software development experience, primarily backend.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and Git workflows.
• Excellent communication in English (German a plus).
• Autonomous, detail‑oriented, and collaborative mindset.
