Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, deployment and optimisation of our private‑cloud transformation. The role combines deep expertise in virtualization, storage and infrastructure engineering with a strong DevOps, IaC and FinOps mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage VMware‑based virtualization environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Modernise and automate infrastructure platforms using Terraform, Ansible and related tools.
• Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage (HPE, NetApp), optimise data availability and lifecycle.
• Contribute to private‑cloud solutions (OpenStack, Azure Stack, VMware Cloud Foundation) and migration from legacy systems.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code, automate provisioning, configuration and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply FinOps principles to monitor usage, control costs and provide optimisation recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering and large‑scale transformation projects.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Virtualisation: VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX (optional).
• Storage: SAN, NAS, HPE and NetApp systems.
• IaC & automation: Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Python, PowerShell.
• DevOps: CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Private‑cloud platforms: OpenStack, Microsoft Azure Stack, VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Networking: L2/L3 fundamentals, security, load balancing.
• Operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• FinOps: cost management tools and reporting.
• Monitoring & observability tools; Docker and Kubernetes (optional).
