Remote Mechanical Engineer – Design & Development

About the role

Starz Electronics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its remote team. You will be responsible for creating and refining mechanical components and systems that support the company’s advanced electronics and battery solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design mechanical parts using CAD software.
• Create detailed 3‑D models and drawings for production.
• Design machinery and tooling required for prototype and pilot‑scale manufacturing.
• Support research and development initiatives across electronics and battery projects.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated product development.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through completion, tracking milestones and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and machine design.
• Experience in product development and R&D environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, multidisciplinary team.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes.
• Experience with 3D printing for prototyping.
• Knowledge of prototyping techniques and rapid manufacturing.
