HR Intern – Archivist

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is closing its Tunisia office and needs temporary support to digitize and archive all physical HR documentation. As an HR Intern – Archivist, you will work closely with the HR and Operations teams to ensure that employee records are scanned, labeled, and stored in compliance with IRC policies and data protection standards.

Key responsibilities

• Scan physical HR files and upload them to the document management system.
• Label, categorize, and index records for easy retrieval.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of personnel files.
• Update the HR database and file‑tracking systems.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify completeness and accuracy of archived documents.
• Assist with internal document retrieval requests.

Required profile

• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to operate scanning equipment and manage electronic files.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional handling of confidential information.
• Willingness to follow instructions, ask for clarification, and collaborate with the HR team.
