About the role
The Reservations Agent processes all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail. You will interact with guests to identify their needs, verify room availability, and ensure a smooth booking experience while adhering to company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations and verify room type and rate availability.
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers and accommodate special requests.
- Input reservation data accurately, including special room types such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, and wholesale rates.
- Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and handle escalations when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and ensure a professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
