Migration Health Nurse

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Migration Health Nurse to join its sub‑office in Zarzis, Tunisia. The nurse will work under the Head of Sub‑office and the migration health physician to deliver essential health services to migrants and support public‑health priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to migrants.
• Assist in tuberculosis management and mass immunization activities.
• Support communicable disease surveillance and laboratory testing.
• Contribute to preventive care and disease‑control measures.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and use web‑based management systems.
• Collaborate with multi‑cultural teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Certificate or high‑school diploma in nursing with a valid nursing licence for the duty station.
• Minimum two years (bachelor’s) or four years (diploma) of relevant clinical experience.
• Experience in TB management, mass immunizations, communicable diseases or public health is an advantage.
• Ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Fluency in Arabic, French and English.
• Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
