Migration Health Physician (Consultant Type B)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Migration Health Physician (Consultant Type B) to join its team in Zarzis, Tunisia. The consultant will provide medical assistance to migrant populations, support emergency response activities and contribute to community outreach and monitoring efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care to migrants and refugees in emergency and primary health settings.
• Conduct community outreach, dialogue and health education activities.
• Participate in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of health interventions.
• Collaborate with IOM staff, partners and local authorities to ensure humanitarian medical standards.
• Provide technical advice on health needs of diverse migrant groups.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of continuous clinical experience, preferably in general or emergency medicine.
• Proven experience in community outreach and practical monitoring and evaluation.
• Ability to work in emergency situations and handle emergency cases.
• Fluency in French and Arabic; working knowledge of English.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Internet).
