Migration Health Nurse Consultant (Type B)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Migration Health Nurse (Consultant Type B) to support the public‑health response to migration challenges in Zarzis, Tunisia. Working under the Head of Sub‑office and the migration health physician, you will contribute to strengthening health services for migrant populations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in improving the sustainability of the public‑health system’s response to health challenges linked to migration.
• Conduct community outreach and dialogue with migrant groups to identify health needs.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting of health interventions.
• Provide direct medical assistance in emergency situations and coordinate with local health authorities.
• Participate in project development, implementation and follow‑up activities.

Required profile

• University or technical degree in nursing.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably in the Tunisian public‑health sector.
• Experience in community outreach, monitoring and evaluation, and emergency case management.
• Fluency in French and Arabic; working knowledge of English is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
