About the role

Hamelin SARL Tunisie is seeking an Eco‑design Engineer specialized in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to join its product development team in Enfidha. The role focuses on integrating environmental considerations early in the design process of school and office supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for products and manufacturing processes.
• Embed eco‑design principles during product development to minimise environmental impact.
• Identify and implement levers for reducing carbon footprint, waste, and resource consumption.
• Support R&D and production teams in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Select low‑impact materials and processes.
• Raise awareness and provide training on eco‑design concepts to internal teams.
• Maintain up‑to‑date regulatory and technical environmental monitoring.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in HSE, industrial biology or industrial chemistry.
• Hands‑on experience in HSE within a production environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and environmental standards ISO 14040/14044.
• Analytical mindset, scientific rigor and strong communication skills.
• Technical English proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LCA tools/software.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems (optional).
• Understanding of ISO environmental standards (ISO 14040, ISO 14044, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
