Environmental Consultant

About the role

RINA is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join its Sustainability and Business Innovation Division in Tunisia. The role focuses on assessing and mitigating environmental risks for energy, infrastructure and industrial projects, supporting permitting, financing and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessments and related studies for energy, infrastructure and industrial projects.
• Perform environmental and social due diligence, audits and compliance assessments against Italian, European and Project Financing standards.
• Model pollutant dispersion, deposition and noise impacts using specialized software and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and support proposal preparation for financing documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience conducting environmental impact assessments and due diligence for energy or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with IFC Performance Standards, ADB/EBRD/Equator Principles or similar international lender requirements.

Required skills

• Environmental impact assessment methodology.
• Pollutant dispersion and deposition modeling.
• Air‑quality, noise and visual impact modelling (including use of Windpro).
• Preparation of compliance reports for Italian and European regulations.
