Utilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Utilities Maintenance Technician ensures the reliable operation of utility installations at an industrial site. Working within a pharmaceutical environment, the role focuses on daily monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, and compliance with GMP/BPF, quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily performance of utility systems and conduct technical rounds to record operating parameters.
• Identify anomalies, manage alarms and promptly report any issues that could affect production, quality or safety.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to the established schedule, perform periodic inspections and maintain traceability of interventions.
• Diagnose faults, carry out corrective repairs, and ensure rapid restoration of critical utilities.
• Participate in root‑cause analyses for recurring failures and propose actions to improve equipment reliability and availability.
• Document all interventions and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system.

Required profile

• Technical degree such as a BTS, DUT, or professional licence in a relevant field (e.g., industrial maintenance, electrical engineering).
• Experience with utility systems in an industrial or pharmaceutical setting is preferred.
• Understanding of GMP/BPF requirements and ability to work safely in a regulated environment.
