Senior SAP ABAP Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Developer to lead the design and technical architecture of key SAP applications. You will ensure robust, scalable solutions that drive real business impact while collaborating with global teams in a fast‑moving automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders in your area of expertise.
• Identify training needs and deliver internal and external training sessions, including international workshops.
• Define and improve internal standards, development practices, software standards, and application architectures.
• Support business processes through the SAP landscape, ensuring clear representation of processes in applications.
• Review and update application integration and the overall IT system landscape.
• Prepare architecture topics for IT process meetings and communicate new technical requirements.
• Ensure architectures comply with standards, MDM, and integration requirements.
• Contribute to the standardisation of application development across the DRÄXLMAIER Group.
• Coordinate the creation of IT specifications based on functional requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience, with solid ABAP (Object‑Oriented) development background.
• Strong understanding of SAP technologies such as RAP, Core Data Services (CDS) and OData services.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
