Quality Coordinator – Automotive Production

About the role

Lear’s new Thermal Comfort Systems (TCS) plant in Bizerte, Tunisia is looking for a Quality Coordinator to support and monitor quality processes in an automotive production environment. The role ensures compliance with customer specifications, industry standards such as IATF 16949 and VDA, and drives continuous improvement across the manufacturing line.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise quality controls throughout the manufacturing process.
• Manage quality documentation, including PPAP submissions, control plans, and audit records.
• Handle customer complaints, prepare 8‑D reports using 5 Whys and Ishikawa analysis.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead improvement initiatives.
• Ensure implementation of customer requirements and compliance with VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949 audits.
• Maintain workplace order following 5S principles.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial or related).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive quality within a production environment.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Core automotive quality tools: APQP, MSA, SPC, Control Plan, FMEA, PPAP.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audit requirements.
• Experience with 8‑D problem‑solving, 5 Whys and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Familiarity with VDA 2 and AIAG PPAP processes.
• Application of 5S workplace organization.
