Customer Quality Engineer – Trim

About the role

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the Customer Quality Engineer – Trim acts as the customer’s on‑site representative, ensuring that all quality policies and customer requirements are applied across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on‑site customer liaison for operational quality matters.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to implement customer specifications.
• Monitor, analyse, and report quality KPIs, internal and external non‑conformities, and complaints.
• Develop, implement, and track corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans using structured methods.
• Create, update, and apply PFMEA and Control Plans to mitigate quality risks.
• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in line with customer and IATF requirements.
• Manage internal rejections, customer returns, and protective measures.
• Support quality‑awareness training following complaints or new customer specifications.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• 4+ years of automotive industry experience in a quality‑related role.
• 2+ years in a Customer Quality position.
• Hands‑on experience with PFMEA, PPAP, and 8D.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and audit practices.
• Fluent communication in French and English.
