Project Manager – Electrical (15+ years experience)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead power transmission projects across Africa. The role focuses on the design, construction, and commissioning of substations, medium‑voltage (MV) networks, distribution systems and transmission lines. Candidates must have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the execution of power transmission and substation projects from concept to hand‑over.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards and project schedules.
• Oversee procurement, budgeting and cost control for MV and distribution network works.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and quality audits for transmission line installations.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate status to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical power projects, preferably in Africa.
• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in transmission, substations and MV distribution.
