Launch Engineer Trim

About the role

The Launch Engineer – Trim will lead new automotive program introductions from planning through execution, coordinating cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of trim systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed program schedules, covering macro and micro activities.
• Configure and manage the LPMP system for each new launch, ensuring all tasks are accurately completed.
• Collaborate with SSD/CFD and Trim engineering teams to resolve deliverables, change packages, RFQs and ECNs.
• Generate ECRs, organize action‑plan meetings and provide regular progress updates to management.
• Lead pre‑production activities, secure tools and materials, and define ramp‑up, ramp‑down and end‑of‑life plans.
• Manage project budget, analyze cash impact and oversee compliance with IATF/VDA certifications.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive program launch or similar role.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Proven experience working in cross‑functional, matrix‑structured teams.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• LPMP system configuration and usage.
• PLM system for tracking RFQs, ECNs and ECRs.
• Knowledge of IATF and VDA certification processes.
• Trim engineering concepts and tooling requirements.
