Industrial Indirect Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Indirect Buyer to support our French plants. Reporting to a Senior Buyer, you will manage quotations, negotiations and supplier performance for a range of industrial commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Issue Request for Quotations to preferred and local suppliers as defined by the Commodity Lead Buyer.
• Lead negotiations to achieve optimal quality, cost and delivery (QCD) outcomes.
• Monitor QCD performance through regular buyer reports.
• Track order progress with French and international suppliers and handle escalations from internal customers.
• Coordinate supplier evaluations for assigned business areas.
• Support internal customers, especially for maintenance services, contracts and spare parts.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in purchasing or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience purchasing industrial commodities.
• Strong interest in technical purchasing and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent listening, persuasive and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical, rigorous, ethical and dynamic attitude.
• Fluent in English and French.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP procurement modules.
