Embedded Software Apprenticeship – 2026

About the role

Join STMicroelectronics as an Embedded Software Apprentice for the 2026 program. You will work on real‑world firmware projects, collaborating with hardware and software teams to deliver high‑quality embedded solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop embedded software primarily in Embedded C and Python.
• Define and review technical specifications with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Design test strategies and execute validation on hardware platforms such as FPGA‑based environments.
• Maintain and evolve existing low‑level software components, including bootloaders and device firmware.
• Automate development and validation flows, contributing to tooling and DevOps activities.
• Ensure timely delivery while incorporating feedback and maintaining high quality.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Embedded C and Python programming.
• Good knowledge of embedded systems and STM32 microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (UART, USB, SPI, I2C, JTAG) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) is advantageous.
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
