DevOps Architect (AWS)

About the role

The DevOps Architect will define, govern, and evolve the end‑to‑end DevOps and cloud delivery architecture across AWS. This senior position sets direction, standards, and reference architectures to enable multiple engineering teams to deliver securely, compliantly, and cost‑effectively at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target DevOps architecture across AWS, covering CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, environment lifecycle, and operations.
• Establish enterprise CI/CD standards using Jenkins, including pipeline structure, controls, approvals, and promotion models.
• Design and enforce cloud guardrails for identity, networking, logging, encryption, monitoring, and policy enforcement.
• Partner with security, risk, and audit teams to embed compliance into architecture and automation.
• Set architectural standards for resilience, observability, disaster recovery, and platform operability at scale.
• Drive standardisation across teams, provide documentation, reference implementations, and mentorship.
• Embed cost‑awareness and optimisation principles, collaborating with FinOps stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud platform engineering with architectural responsibility.
• Deep expertise in AWS architecture, including multi‑account strategies, networking, IAM, and security.
• Strong experience designing and governing Jenkins‑based CI/CD platforms at enterprise scale.
• Proven track record defining and enforcing cloud guardrails and governance models.
• Experience operating in regulated and audit‑sensitive environments.
