Chargé de Sécurité

About the role

CARTHAGO CERAMIC is seeking a Safety Officer to support its industrial site in Agareb, Sfax. Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, you will ensure the implementation of the company’s safety policies and risk‑prevention measures.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor safety procedures across the plant.
• Identify, assess and mitigate occupational hazards.
• Raise awareness and train employees on HSE rules.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
• Track personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire‑fighting resources.
• Contribute to the development and update of emergency and evacuation plans.
• Prepare safety performance reports and key indicators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) or higher in Hygiene, Safety, Environment (HSE) or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Analytical mindset, good organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent communication and awareness‑building abilities.
