Urban Climate Intern

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking an Urban Climate Intern to support its climate‑urban portfolio in Tunisia. The internship, based in Tunis with a hybrid work arrangement, will run for four months with a possible extension. You will work closely with the head of office and program assistant on research, project development and field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research for ongoing and upcoming urban climate projects.
• Assist in drafting project ideas on urban climate resilience.
• Support day‑to‑day tasks related to project development and fund mobilisation.
• Help with field‑work activities and logistics during workshops.
• Take meeting minutes and manage documentation.
• Perform any other tasks relevant to UN‑Habitat’s mandate.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a graduate programme, final year of a bachelor programme, or holder of a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree.
• Strong interest in urban sustainability, climate resilience and UN‑Habitat’s work.
• Good communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
