Therapeutic Area Representative – Oncology

About the role

The Oncology Therapeutic Area Representative is responsible for executing the in‑field commercial strategy for assigned oncology brands within a defined territory. The role focuses on high‑quality engagement with oncology healthcare professionals, generating demand and delivering business objectives while ensuring full compliance with Novartis policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Segment customers using company tools (e.g., ViP) and apply value‑based tiering.
• Execute personalized omnichannel journeys with digital solutions such as RepAI, IDS+, OnCore and Veeva CRM.
• Deliver compliant promotional activities using the 6 Impact Behaviors (6IBs) selling model.
• Act as a trusted partner to oncologists, communicating clinical evidence, treatment guidelines and real‑world insights.
• Gather and share field insights on treatment practices, market dynamics and competitor activity.
• Participate in oncology congresses, scientific meetings and advisory boards in line with governance standards.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value & Access and Business Excellence.
• Document all customer interactions promptly and adhere to pharmacovigilance and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• University degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.

Required skills

• Proficiency with RepAI.
• Experience using IDS+.
• Familiarity with OnCore.
• Knowledge of Veeva CRM.
• Ability to work with the ViP customer‑segmentation tool.
